Check out my article in Extreme How-To!

Look Inside >>
The current issue of Extreme How-To Magazine (available at Home Depot, Barnes & Noble, all over the place) includes an article by moi called Bright Ideas for Deck Lights (see the cover). The story was written to showcase the products available from Aurora Deck Lighting, but it's a good over view of deck lighting (solar, low voltage, wired, unwired) -- truly everything you need to know. If you are interested in turning your outdoor living enviornment into a place you can use at night as well as during the day, check out Aurora's products, and be sure to tell them you heard about them from Extreme How-To magazine and the article by Connie Jean Holubar!

For her "Sweet 16" Jasmine Richman only wanted one thing -- 500 pounds of pet food. She got what she asked for and more (this pic shows just a small amount of what she received from her friends and family who attended her Sweet 16 Party on Jan. 23.) Jasmine plans to donate the food (and some cash she got as well) to Friends of the Animals of Cedar Creek Lake. I feel so blessed to have Jasmine and her family in our lives. They are "good people!" If you'd like to help animals that really need help, give generously to the Humane Society of Cedar Creek Lake. Click on Jasmine's photo for a link to their donation page.

My design partner and I created armor art for her brother's chopper, which is currently in the Gulf. Recently he had the privilege of flying a U.S. Ambassador and the Prime Ministor of East Timor, who both got a kick out of this "Gone Fishin' in the Gulf" armor art.

Our trip to Savannah, GA included a morning walk along the harbor. The nicest yacht parked there that morning sported a Texas flag. Of course.

Volleyball in Paris - Go Adrienne!

August 22, 2008 -- Happy Birthday Adrienne Boswell!
Good luck in the tournament! Adrienne is my niece, and she plays volleyball for Paris Community College. It sounds glamorous, doesn't it? I haven't been to Paris, yet, but I'd really like to go.

Today Adrienne's team plays in their first tournament of her college career. It's in Dallas at Brookhaven College, so we'll get to see it.

Go Paris Panthers? Pirates? Eagles? Yeah, Adrienne!

Praise the Lord

Praise the Lord
Praise him in his sanctuary
Praise him for his mighty deeds
Praise him for his mighty firmament
Praise him with lute and harp
Praise him with pipe and cymbols
Praise him with timbrel and dance
Praise him with loud clashing cymbols
Let all breathing things praise his name
